CHURCH OF SAINT-GERVAIS-ET-SAINT-PROTAIS
Church in the heart of the village, remodeled in the 16th century and with a magnificent Renaissance porch in Saint-Gervais
The church was built over a chapel whose existence was attested as early as 841. The relics of saints Gervais and Protais, preserved in Rouen, were endangered by Norman invaders, so it was decided to transfer them to Pontoise. The convoy stopped at Bercagny - the village's former name - and the inhabitants took some of the relics, on which the present-day church was founded, the oldest of which dates back to the 12th century. The church was remodeled in the 16th century.
