LA VIGNE À TAVERNY
Well-maintained vineyard with 300 vines of Sauvignon, 300 of Chardonnay and 150 of Pinot Noir to produce white and red wines
It's a testament to the past, but not the only one: up until the 19th century, Taverny (and the surrounding communes) was renowned for its wine production, which gradually disappeared as competition from wines from other regions became easier to transport. And yet, since 1997, the vine has made a comeback! 300 vines of Sauvignon, 300 vines of Chardonnay and 150 vines of Pinot Noir are used to produce white and red wines. This carefully tended vineyard is well worth a visit!
