A stretch of water in the heart of the Montmorency forest, a place of tranquillity for nature lovers and walkers alike

You'll have to get up high to reach this beautiful spot. Located in the commune of Taverny, l'Étang Godard lies in the heart of the Forêt de Montmorency. Fed by rainwater, it is the heart of a vast traffic circle, and parking is easy. The tranquility of the area is not the least of the reasons why walkers and nature lovers come here. Finally, note that the name of this stretch of water comes from Auguste Godard, who was mayor of Taverny from 1855 to 1859, and whose son, a violinist, is said to have found inspiration here.
