Château de Vigny is a superb building constructed in the early 16th century. It was built at the instigation of Cardinal d'Amboise, minister to King Louis XII. Until 1555, the château belonged to the cardinal's heirs, before passing into the hands of the de Montmorency family, whose motto, Aplanos, can be seen on the central coat of arms. At the end of the 17th century, it became the property of the de Rohan family. In the 19th century, Count Vitali acquired the building. The site has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1984.
