TOOL MUSEUM, CLAUDE AND FRANÇOISE PIGEARD COLLECTION
Museum housing ancient tools, exhibiting in a Gallo-Roman bathhouse, from the plow to the medieval waffle mold
A former blacksmith, Claude Pigeard, and his wife Françoise, passionate about tools, especially iron tools, have collected 1,500 old tools. This touching and fascinating museum exhibits them in a Gallo-Roman seaside resort listed as a Historic Monument, surrounded by a real priest's garden planted with simple plants. You will discover a whole universe, from the plough to the medieval waffle mould, finely chiselled with delicious decorations, via the horseshoe. On the first floor, you can plunge into the evocative world of old trades, which have often disappeared.
