NANCY ISLAND
A 35-hectare island, almost entirely wooded, with just a few inhabitants. Restaurant, free ferry and fish pass.
Île Nancy, or Andrésy Island, is a 35-hectare natural area. It was created in the mid-19th century, when three islands were joined together to facilitate boating: Île Nancy, which faced the town of Andrésy; Île du Devant, a largely artificial island built under Colbert; and Île d'en Bas, downstream. Almost entirely wooded, it is home to a few inhabitants. The Papillon Bleu ferry provides free access to the island. For the curious, there's a fish pass to allow migratory fish to swim upstream.
