EGLISE SAINT-SULPICE
The Saint-Sulpice church in Bailly features a rib-vaulted nave and bell tower, housing three bells and a clock
Built in the 13th century, the church is built on the foundations of a 10th-century edifice. The keystone of the Gothic section bears the coat of arms used to establish the Bailly coat of arms. The rib-vaulted nave and bell tower were remodeled in the 17th century. In 1756, Louis XV granted it the title of "Paroissial and Royal" church. The bell tower once housed 3 bells, 2 of which were melted down during the French Revolution: the last was cracked and dated from 1642. Thanks to the Town Hall and the parish, it was restored to its original condition, blessed and put back in place in 1960.
