Museum featuring a permanent exhibition of the writer's memorabilia, including period furniture, study, piano...
In 1874, the famous Russian writer Ivan Tourgueniev bought the villa on the former Chaussée estate and named his property "Les Frênes". The following year, he had a surprising house built in the park: a Helvetian-influenced dacha, where he lived until his death in 1883. Since 1985, this singular building has housed a permanent exhibition of the writer's memorabilia. It also hosts regular exhibitions and opera concerts. A word of advice: if possible, take a guided tour - it's well worth it!
