LODGE ISLAND
An island renowned for its numerous locks, including the largest in France, measuring 220 m in length.
Ile de la Loge is famous for its locks. The oldest lock is located between this island and Gautier Island, and was designed to help restore river navigation. In the middle is another lock for express boats. Finally, along the island, the most recent lock is one of the largest in France, at 220 m long. There's also an Emmaüs warehouse-shop on the island and a paintball site. Also worth seeing is the château de poche, a neo-Gothic pavilion built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition.
