The woods of Buc form an important forest complex that can be admired while walking along the GR11 along the Bièvre.
The woods surrounding Buc are part of the Versailles state forest. The Gonards and Garenne des Loges woods continue towards Jouy-en-Josas. To the west, the Bois de la Porte Neuve, Bois de la Geneste and Bois de la Couronne stretch across the Satory plateau. Here, you can walk along the GR11, which runs alongside the Bièvre and the bodies of water it forms in its course, and discover two oak trees known as "Louis XIV" oaks: one near Les Arcades, in the Gonards woods; the other, at the bottom of the Butte-aux-Vaches road, in the Geneste woods.
