CHAMPFLEURY CASTLE
Castle built in 1630, with various owners and functions, including today's social rehabilitation home.
In 1630, Roland Coudray had the Château de Champfleury built. Over the centuries, the château changed function and ownership. In 1750, the château was inherited by the daughter of the Marquis de La Fare. Sold to an American charity in 1922, it became a place for the education of young girls whose fathers had died in the First World War, then a seminary for the Franciscans and, in 1955, a home for young workers. Today, the château is home to families in difficulty who are in the process of reintegrating into society.
