The first mention of the Geneste estate appears in 1339, when it belonged to a Parisian bourgeois couple, Jacques Lenormand and Jacqueline Lemire. In the 16th century, notarial deeds tell us that there was a water mill, a dovecote and a windmill destroyed in 1568. Today, the château's salons and lawn are available for private functions and seminars. Five gîtes (La tour du XVIe s., La Chapelle and les Communs) are available for those seeking a change of scenery, between stables and river, on this magnificent estate of several hectares.

Located in Châteaufort, Château de la Geneste is part of the Domaine de la Geneste, which also has gîtes and horses. The château is available for a variety of private and corporate events. You'll be welcomed into a green setting and a warm, relaxing atmosphere, where the watchword is "make yourself at home". With 150 m² of reception space and 3 Haussmann-style lounges, it can accommodate 250 people standing and 80 seated. For a birthday, wedding or christening, you'll enjoy a tailor-made experience just like at home. The same goes for corporate events such as seminars or team building. The establishment also welcomes you for film shoots, exhibitions or vernissage events.
