This castle was the witness of the Hundred Years War and remains one of the rare medieval fortified buildings in Ile-de-France

We owe the origins of this fortress to Guy I of Montlhéry, who had a keep and a chapel built in the 11th century. The castle gradually grew until it became the imposing building of which we can contemplate the remains today. The building was the witness of the Hundred Years War and remains, thanks to its intact machicolations, one of the rare medieval fortified buildings of Ile-de-France. Its interior courtyard offers a superb panorama of the Chevreuse valley. The visitor can walk around, climb the ramparts and visit the cellars.

Beautiful fortress very well restored. Beautiful view of the surroundings. Inspired by the beautiful walks, chemin Jean Racine through here.
A castle and a free, easy museum, ideal for strolling and dip back themselves in the Middle Ages, not very big (the tower quickly is)... for small and large
