CHÂTEAU DE BRETEUIL
A château retracing the history of the de Breteuil family with wax statues. Staging of Perrault's fairy tales.
Owned by the de Breteuil family since the 17th century, the château overlooks the Chevreuse valley. Opened to the public in 1969, it traces the history of this illustrious family in a playful way: wax statues created by the Musée Grévin are scattered throughout the rooms. Louis de Breteuil was a great friend of Charles Perrault - hence the staging of 7 tales from Ma Mère l'Oye to be discovered in the château. A storyteller is also on hand to bring the various characters to life. Accommodation available on site. A magical visit.
