A trail offering a walk through the memory of the land and people of Dampierre-en-Yvelines.
Starting from a parking lot at the end of the forest road of Franchises, this loop of nearly 4 km is a walk through the memory of the land and men. On this trail, walkers follow the old quarrymen's path to the banks of the Cernay pond. All along the way, there are signs indicating the geology, the fauna and flora, and the history of the quarry which employed, in the 19th century, nearly 200 people to supply the capital with paving stones.
