Visit the Commanderie d'Artix, a restored medieval building featuring contemporary art exhibitions.
The foundation of the commandery dates back to the end of the 12th century. The building was located on the road to Santiago de Compostela, then protected by the Templars. Except for the chapel, all the buildings were sacked during the Hundred Years War. In the 15th century, the building was used for a farm and in the 19th century, for a distillery before being restored and opened to the public around 1970. One part is dedicated to contemporary art exhibitions. Guided tours are organized.

Members' reviews on COMMANDERY OF THE TEMPLARS OF THE VILLEDIEU
The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
