THE CASTLE OF TERNAY
A Directoire-style building, with a trace of the Château de Ternay in Fontenay-le-Fleury,...
Records of Château de Ternay's existence date back to 1482, when it was recorded in the Villepreux registers. It owes its fame to one of its famous owners: Sacha Guitry, who lived there from 1937 until his death in 1957. The author and playwright decided to make the Ternay estate his second home, where in 1939 he celebrated his marriage to actress Geneviève de Séreville, and shot some of his films. Privately owned, the château has been for sale since 2014. Sacha Guitry fans and potential buyers? You'll have to shell out 2.9 million euros.
