FÊTE DE LA SAINT-CHRISTOPHE

Once an important road to Santiago de Compostela, Houdan has always enjoyed a certain dynamism thanks to the passage of rail and road routes at various times. This is why, every year, on the last weekend of June, Houdan celebrates the Patron Saint of travellers, Saint Christopher. Over the course of a whole day, the small town comes alive with festive festivities: a parade of floats in bloom in the streets of the town, concerts, a night market, a fairground and a professional flea market. On Saturday night, a free concert is given. According to the annual editions, hiking, Segway rides, circuits, rides, retrospectives of paintings or photographs are proposed. As Hudan is strongly linked to travel, exhibitions on this theme complement the feast of St. Christopher.
