HAY FARM
Farm with a large vegetable garden offering a wide variety of fruits
With your family, alone or with friends, don't miss a trip to the Viltain farm! In addition to learning more about the wonders of Mother Nature, you can also fill your basket with excellent products. Located on an agricultural plain, between the Chevreuse and Bièvre valleys, the Viltain farm has a large vegetable garden of 50 hectares, which can be picked freely depending on the season, and which offers a wide variety of fruit - from strawberries to apples and rhubarb - and vegetables, as well as flowers, which can be used to make large bouquets at little cost. Individuals can also visit the more expensive Pick Your Own market, which replicates a village market on the farm, with its handmade products, vegetables, meats, homemade dairy products, and pressed apple juice made from apples from the orchard. The farm also has a herd of 600 Prim'Holstein cattle, including 300 dairy cows that produce about 7,000 litres of milk each day. Visitors can watch these cows being milked in the "milking carousel", which they can see from the top of a fully glazed mezzanine. The cows' milk is processed on site and is used in the dairy to make yoghurts (fruit yoghurts from the farm's orchard), fromage blanc, faisselle and various types of milk (raw, fermented, pasteurised). The farm also organizes many activities, visits to the stable, cooking and garden workshops for the youngest.
