MONTEBELLO CASTLE
The château and its grounds were first owned by the Countess de Vassart d'Hozier, then by the Counts de Cambacérès and de Montebello.
Château de Montebello and its park were owned by the Countess de Vassart d'Hozier in the second half of the 19th century. She enlarged the property and gave it a chalet feel. In 1898, Maurice Delaire, comte de Cambacérès, became the owner, enlarging the residence and marrying his daughter to comte Stanislas de Montebello, a descendant of the Empire marshal Jean Lannes - who gave his name to the place. In the early 1970s, the château was acquired by a real estate company, which turned it into a private residence.
