CHÂTEAU DE L'EGLANTINE
The Musée de la Toile de Jouy, housed in the Château de l'Eglantine, recounts the history of local textile production.
Château de l'Eglantine was built on the edge of the forest in the 19th century by Marshal François Certain de Canrobert. Built on a U-shaped plan, it is a delightful building offering a wide variety of styles. The immaculate white central body is flanked by two pavilions with slate roofs. In 1991, the Musée de la Toile de Jouy moved into the heart of the château, in modern buildings made of glass and metal, to house the fabrics for which the town is famous. A journey through the history of textile production. Store.
