A neo-Gothic church in Le Chesnay, with a steeple rising to 54 m, like a lighthouse in the heart of the town.

Construction of this neo-Gothic church began in 1897, during an anti-clerical period, under the watchful eye of Abbé Boissis. Millstone and limestone combine to create a building 57 m long and 15 m high under vaulted ceiling. The stained-glass windows, installed between 1900 and 1910, are a major artistic asset: executed by the Lorin workshop in Chartres, they evoke the life of Saint Anthony of Padua. The Cavaillé-Coll organs date from 1913.

Merveilleux lieu. Pas seulement pour les chrétiens et pour les reliques de Notre Bon Saint Antoine. Croyez moi si vous faites un voeux pieux il se réalisera...a coup sûr !!!!! Les ex-voto présents en sont la preuve.

Belle église visible de loin car elle est située en haut d'une colline surplombant le Chesnay. Elle a de très beaux vitraux sur le thème de la vie de Saint Antoine de Padoue. La reine Amélie du Portugal y a posé un ex-voto.
L'ensemble est très priant ainsi que la chapelle du Saint-Sacrement.
