Former bourgeois house in Le Mousseau, now a convent for nuns and a retirement home.
In 1889, Mgr Goux, Bishop of Versailles, erected the convent of the Sacré-Coeur des Norbertines régulières in a former bourgeois house in the hamlet of Le Mousseau. The project was the brainchild of Marie Adèle Alexandra Husson-Carcenac, a young girl born into a wealthy family. She renounced all the privileges of her birth to dedicate herself to God. The religious community took in orphans, war wounded and then elderly sisters. Today, the buildings house a retirement home for the elderly.
