Château and park built in the century, now home to the Mesnil-Saint-Denis town hall. Can be visited during Heritage Days.
In 1589, Louis Habert, King Henri III's Secretary of Finance and later Treasurer of War, built this handsome edifice. Remodeled in the 17th century, the château retains its original moats and turrets, with a classical layout: bays of large, small-paned windows, central body and side pavilions, mansard-roofed attic creating a true3rd floor, and a return wing formed by the former chapel. In the 1950s, the town hall moved in. The well-kept grounds are open to the public, and the château can be visited during Heritage Days.
