SAINT MARGARET'S CHURCH
This neo-Gothic building, built in 1862 by architect Louis-Auguste Boilleau, is a listed monument.
The foundation stone for this neo-Gothic edifice was laid in 1862 by the Bishop of Versailles. Designed by Louis-Auguste Boileau, it was named Sainte-Marguerite in honor of Alphonse Pallu's daughter, who died at the age of 10. This innovative building was the first to use reinforced concrete for a non-industrial building. The interior features a fine collection of frescoes and stained-glass windows by Maurice Denis. Executed in the early 20th century, they were unfortunately badly damaged by fire in 2009.
