Prestigious, very active sailing club in an exceptional setting, with regattas in an untrammelled basin at Les Mureaux.
The Cercle de la Voile de Paris was founded in 1858, marking the emergence of French pleasure sailing, before moving to Les Mureaux in 1893. The numerous regattas organized there attracted water sports enthusiasts and professionals alike, who came to take advantage of the 250 m wide, unmeandered basin. In 1900, it hosted the sailing events at the Paris Universal Exhibition, followed by the 1924 Olympic Games. Today, the prestigious club is still very active. Privatization.
