Among the many green spaces in Mantises-la-Joli, the Square Square is named after the favorite of Henri IV, which resided in Mantises. " I am in Mantises, my beautiful ", he wrote her royal lover, giving his current name to the city. Henri IV established the Government of France between 1590 and 1593. The square represents an interesting example of union between the present and the past, since it allows to discover the vestiges of the city fortifications.
