CASTLE OF MAREIL LE GUYON
Castle dating from the Middle Ages with French park, rebuilt and equipped with a swimming pool, hosting professional seminars
Built in the Middle Ages on marshlands that have now dried up, the castle of Mareil-le-Guyon takes its name from the local lords called Guyon (a derivative of the first name Guy). Property of the de Mareil family, the castle was sold many times after the extinction of the lineage. The building was rebuilt in the 16th century and enlarged in the 18th century to house the family of the Marquis de la Galaizière. Today, it is an establishment that hosts professional seminars in an exceptional setting, in the heart of a ten-hectare French-style park. Barns and stables transformed into meeting rooms. A swimming pool has even been installed.
