A document proves the presence of a church in Mareil-Marly since 1060, probably built on an already existing sanctuary. From the church of the th century, the remains of the steeple can still be seen near the choir. The nave you can see today dates back to the th century. In the th century, in line with the great church restorations conducted by Viollet-le-Duc throughout France, restoration works began under the direction of Eugène Millet, a student of the great restaurant architect. The north portal was destroyed, the cemetery moved, the foothills were consolidated and a new arrow came to dominate the bell. The church was classified in historic monuments in 1853.
