AU VIEUX MARLY
This beautiful building with blue shutters is steeped in history. Former farm then laundry for the staff of Louis XIV's kennel, it was transformed into an inn after the Revolution. In 1952, André Guillot opened his famous gastronomic restaurant L'Auberge du vieux Marly there, which received many celebrities, including Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, François Mitterrand and Michelle Morgan. Forty years after her grandfather's retirement, Isabelle Guillot is reviving this establishment by setting up a tea room-restaurant where photographs of the old establishment can be seen. The beautiful room with exposed beams is decorated in pastel tones. In winter, the fireplace gives a cosy atmosphere to the place, while in summer you can enjoy the terrace under the linden trees. It's all homemade. At lunchtime, you can enjoy simple dishes made with good fresh produce. In the plate, go as a starter with a small parmesan salad or a plate of Corsican charcuterie, then as a main course with a Scandinavian plate or a "veggie-bowl" (vegetarian plate) or a baked potato, chives cream and/or Corsican charcuterie, roasted cheeses from Auvergne. Then to conclude a lime pie or fruit crumble. Finally, a large selection of teas and pastries will satisfy the little ones.
