VICTOR AUBERT MUSEUM
A heritage museum like no other, featuring objects from Maule and the surrounding region, dating from every era.
In 1938, in the former 11th-century priory, Victor Aubert (researcher, archaeologist and journalist) brought together objects from Maule and the surrounding region, dating from all periods. The first floor features fragments of statues from the church of Saint-Nicolas, the priory and the chapel of Saint-Jacques, as well as collections of folk arts and traditions. The first floor is devoted to paleontology, prehistory, the Gallo-Roman era and the early Middle Ages, and features the "Pierre de Maule". Temporary thematic exhibitions are also organized.
