HOUSE-MUSEUM MAURITIUS RAVEL
The home of the famous composer, nestled in the hills overlooking a small garden, with its motley collection of objects.
Maurice Ravel fell under the spell of Montfort-l'Amaury, and in 1921 acquired the "Belvédère": a house nestling on the hillside, overlooking a small garden. The house-museum showcases his collection of weird and wonderful objects, including the piano on which he signed his major works, including his Boléro. Every year, the Journées Ravel provide an opportunity to (re) discover the composer and his works at concerts held in and around the town.
