SAINT-PIERRE CHURCH
A remarkable church classified as a Historic Monument, with a Gothic choir, a monument to visit in Plaisir.
Saint-Pierre parish dates back to the 13th century. The present church is believed to have been built around 1260, financed by Elisabeth de Buc. It was remodeled from the 17th century onwards, giving the whole a somewhat disparate impression and explaining why the building rises on an axis offset from the original plan. The interior features a Gothic-style choir. In an extremely dilapidated state, and in danger of collapsing, the church underwent major renovation work in the early 2010s.
