MILLINERY PRIORY
Ruins of the Moulineaux priory, a monument built in the century in the middle of the Poigny forest, waiting to be discovered.
The ruins of the Moulineaux priory have been owned by Poigny-la-Forêt since September 2016. Lost in the middle of the forest, the priory was built in the 12th century by the Grandmont order. It was one of three monastic sites in the Guesle valley. Inside, you'll find the chapel's choir and, outside, the chevet supported by columns topped with capitals. Today, the commune has launched a campaign to restore this endangered monument, with the help of the Association des Amis du Prieuré and the Fondation du Patrimoine.
