ST. PETER'S CHURCH
church, restored in 1928, in Poigny-la-Forêt. With a crypt where five members of the d'Angennes family are buried.
This 12th-century church stands in the heart of the village of Poigny-la-Forêt. Its restoration in 1928 revealed a crypt where five members of the d'Angennes family are buried. It was here that President Giscard d'Estaing welcomed the G8 participants at their first informal summit, in Rambouillet in 1975. It was attended by British Prime Minister Harold Wilson, German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, US President Gerald Ford, Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro and Japanese Prime Minister Takeo Miki.
