Inaugurated on 12 December 1937 under the Popular Front, the Town Hall of Poissy is the work of architects Pierre Mathé (Prix de Rome) and Henry Calsat. The building, whose style is in line with the architectural revival of the 1930s, with the rigour and symmetry of its façade, was built on the square of the former cattle market. The architects also designed the city's theatre and school group.
