NOTRE-DAME-DE-L'ASSOMPTION COLLEGIATE CHURCH
An emblematic church built in the century, a testament to Romanesque and Gothic art, and a must-see stop in the town.
Built in the 12th century, this church is the town's richest heritage monument, and one of the rare witnesses to the development of Romanesque art. The building is called a collegiate church because it housed a college of canons until the French Revolution. You can admire its two octagonal Romanesque bell towers, its bestiary of gargoyles, its statues and its choir facing the rising sun on August 15. Saint Louis was baptized here in 1214. A must-see.
