RICHEBOURG CASTLE
Louis XII-style château. Now home to a medical center, it can only be visited on Heritage Days
The château was built in the 16th century on the site of a former feudal castle. In 1522, Charles de Sabrevois, Lord of Richebourg, had a keep built. Built in the late Gothic, early Renaissance style of Louis XII, the château was refurbished in the 18th century. Two wings were built to link the keep to the outbuildings, and the facade was pierced with ogival windows. Traces of a feudal motte can also be seen in the park. In 1976, the building was acquired by the Mallet Foundation and has since housed a medical center for psychomotor rehabilitation.
