Washhouse located on the site of an earthenware factory. Zinc roof and iron pillars.
The Forvache plateau was once home to an earthenware, and later porcelain, factory founded by Gilles-Marie Hocquard de Coubron, Seigneur de Vaux, in 1770. Built in 1873, the washhouse (and the path leading to it) takes its name from this factory, which produced pieces with a style and decoration that were highly recognizable at the time. Today, Vaux earthenware plates are preserved in the Musée de Sèvres. The site was restored in 2008, and the washhouse was covered with a zinc tile roof and iron pillars.
