A former Versailles bistro with atypical decor and a menu that revisits the classics of traditional cuisine.

Au Chien qui Fume is one of the oldest bistros in Versailles, dating back to 1839! It's appreciated for its retro, hushed style, and atypical decor: paintings of smoking dogs line the walls. For the record, the founder of the place entrusted his pipe to his dog! The menu revisits the classics: for starters, onion soup au gratin with croutons. Next, duck confit, browned apples and vegetables. And to finish, a homemade crème brûlée. Service is discreet and friendly. A safe bet.

Une très bonne surprise que ce petit restaurant à l'angle de la place du marché. Un menu du midi tout petit en prix mais surprenant et très goûteux. Un excellent rapport qualité/service/prix. De plus le cadre est sympa avec tous ces chiens partout sur les murs et ailleurs. Attention, les toilettes sont tout en haut d'un escalier...
