ESPRIT JARDIN

Every year, Versailles celebrates the return of spring by organizing its great event all in greenery: Esprit Jardin. The royal city, the inescapable cradle of French-style gardens, gives Versailles back its full vocation and makes it a true garden city. Whether you are tall or short, for two days, the freshness of the green and flowers surrounds you: you enter the art of gardens and landscape culture. For the occasion, the district is dressed in the colours of Esprit Jardin and an ephemeral garden is created in the middle of the street in front of Saint-Louis Cathedral. About sixty exhibitors (nursery growers, seed producers, florists and even outdoor furniture specialists) offer their latest trends, products and professional advice. Adults can walk between the paths and get some wise advice, and even participate in workshops organized by the Green Spaces, while the little ones have plenty to do since many lively and colourful activities are presented. Take the opportunity to visit the Potager du Roy, which reopens its doors on occasion, and where literary meetings on the theme of gardens are offered.
