VERSAILLES JAZZ FESTIVAL

Every spring, the city of Versailles lives to the rhythm of the swing of its jazz festival in a spirit of warmth and generosity. Artists, singers and musicians, big names or up-and-coming talents come to perform at the Montansier Theater, the Trianon Palace, the Conservatory and the Royale Factory. A jazz with a bewitching rhythm, an atypical or more classical music that never ceases to carry away thousands of enthusiasts towards the three pillars of jazz: improvisation, rhythm and sound. Each artist finds his audience and knows how to conquer it. So obviously, many places of the city are used, but not only: the room of the old market of Jouy-en-Josas, the theater of the arcades of Buc or that of Fontenay-le-Fleury are put at contribution. For the 17th edition, the festival welcomes two strong values of the New York jazz scene Dmitri Baevsky & Jeb Patton (saxophone and piano), the pianist Yacine Male and the American saxophonist: Rick Margitza.
