ST. LOUIS CATHEDRAL
Saint-Louis Cathedral in Versailles in the baroque style, with remarkable works of art inside, including the Clicquot organ
This baroque style building was built in 1743. The new district of Saint-Louis, the former royal hunting grounds of the Parc aux Cerfs, was thus provided with a place of worship. At the end of the 18th century, the church was chosen as a cathedral and equipped with ornaments and sacred vessels. Inside, there are remarkable works: a carved wooden pulpit, a work bench, a Clicquot organ with a carved wooden case from 1761 and white marble stoup. On the painting side, one can admire masterpieces by masters such as François Boucher or Amédée Vanloo.

C'est en fait tout le quartier qui mérite une promenade printanière : en passant par les Carrés et jusqu'au potager royal.
