Created in 1851 by King Louis-Philippe, the Galerie des Carrosses was intended to bring together carriages of historical interest from the Ancien Régime, Empire and Restoration periods. Located in the Grande Ecurie of the Château de Versailles, this sumptuous collection of perfectly restored carriages retraces two centuries of history (18th-20th c.). A number of historic pieces can also be admired: the sedan of the Dauphin, son of Louis XVI, and large ceremonial sedans; Louis XVIII's funeral coach...

This is located opposite the palace and you can actually enter for free. It’s a very small but informative gallery of old and newer coaches that’s worth visiting.

Très sympa, à vérifier mais il me semble que l'entrée est gratuite sans besoin de réserver (du moins quand j'y étais allé il y a quelques années je crois) ????
Il y avait des tablettes tactiles à disposition pour avoir des infos interactives sur les carrosses et quelques vidéos projetées sur grand écran également je crois ????

Closed Saturday, the told me is closed Saturday & Sunday because the te are a lot of tourists at the Palace.
