A museum housing collections that bear witness to the history of Versailles and the Revolution, through major donors.
The Musée Lambinet reopened its doors at the end of 2022, following renovation work. The reorganization of the museum's museography offers a playful, coherent itinerary in keeping with the museum's identity as a "collector's house". The first floor is dedicated to the history of the museum and its collections through the eyes of major donors. On the1st floor, the art history rooms showcase sculptures, paintings, furniture and objets d'art, as well as the reconstruction of an 18th-century apartment. Finally, the second floor features the museum of the city of Versailles from the 17th to the 20th century.
