PARC DU DOCTEUR FAUVEL AND ARTIFICIAL GROTTO
Go there and contact
This pleasant square du docteur Fauvel, located in Villennes-sur-Seine, is a haven of peace and English romanticism.
The Square du Docteur-Fauvel is a pleasant English-style garden where, in 1869, landscape architect Louis-Sulpice Varé had a large artificial grotto with a waterfall built on the Ru River, in the former park of the Château de Villennes, of which only the remains remain. He transformed the former French garden into an English-style haven of peace and romance that has become emblematic of the town. It's a delight to stroll here, lulled by the sound of water and birdsong.
