Nestled in an alleyway in the old village, Le Portanel guarantees a tasty meal with a breathtaking view over the pond. Behind the stove, master restaurateur Jean-Christophe Rousseau concocts a bold cuisine that pays tribute to local fish. The star of the show, of course, is the eel, the pond's emblem! On the tasting menu, with a glass of wine to match each dish, eel is available in terrine, narbonnaise, bourride, civet... The garrigue dessert concludes the meal. The "clin d'œil" meal focuses on the terroir.

Annual closing: see Portanel website. Open Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday for lunch and dinner; Wednesday and Sunday for lunch. Reservations recommended. Menus from €35 to €45. Lunch menu: €25 (Clin d'œil menu served for lunch and dinner on weekdays). Wine by the glass. Local menu "Dégustation d'Anguilles" €45 with regional wine with each course. Le Portanel also offers a catering service (weddings, associations, senior citizens), please enquire. Groups welcome (ask about menus). Baby chairs available. Take-away sales.
