An address in the heart of the medieval city offering homemade meats.

Le Marcou is an unmissable address of the Place which has the same name in the heart of the Medieval City. Ask any Carcassonne residents, they will tell you the same thing: Le Marcou is a safe table where good mood is always waiting for you. Renovation works carried out in spring give an even more welcoming atmosphere to the room. Le Marcou will remain the address where you can enjoy tasty Pays Cathare pork fillet with parsley and lemon juice, or a grilled bream with olive oil and salt from Guérande. It is also the address of meat lovers that can enjoy a prime rib from M. Izard, perfectly cooked and just seasoned with a little salt flower. Same enthusiasm for the cassoulet with duck confit of Brice that is excellent (and of course homemade).

Nous y avons été pour boire un verre, le service est plus que moyen, pas très accueillant ne prenne pas la carte avant 8€ obligé d’aller au distributeur pour payer.

The MARCOU is a charming restaurant in the heart of the city, located on place MARCOU flooded by the terraces of the restaurants. The place is quite nice as a whole. We chose the menu has €22 (expensive). The entrance is a salad of foie gras. Good they were not top, I raw eaten butter instead of the liver. , then the main course a duck/calcining finally a half duck, it is not even if it were rather good. The dessert, a baked alaska, but they do not have any more of them... the choice with the ticket was limited and not the level.

The service is fast, but not very warm.
In short my opinion BOF!
