BIBLIOTHEQUE MUNICIPALE
The library has 34,000 old books, 54,000 works in the adult section, 50,000 in the youth section, a bilingual fund, and a regional fund. Philosophy workshops are held once a month, from December to June, free and open to everyone. For children: storytellers every first Wednesday of the month, from October to June, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., free and open to all. And for all, various other animations throughout the year. The library of Carcassonne is going through a difficult phase, with its cruel lack of space and scattered sections in many different places. Patience, the construction of a brand new library where the works would finally be under the same roof is under study!
