The Jardin du Calvaire in Carcassonne is an interesting place to get lost in the narrow streets.

Carcassonne is not full of mysterious little gardens, so stumbling upon this one is a happy accident. At first glance, the garden looks rather ghostly because of its religious history, but today it offers an interesting relief for those who want to get lost in the narrow streets. Its founder, Canon Jean Cazaintre, took care to plant sacred botanical species in the 19th century. Today, they keep company with the statues of the ancient and Catholic cult, some of which have been partially renovated.

Cierran a las 19h en agosto. Llegamos a las 18h de hoy y un señor con fuerte voz nos dice que cierra ya, echando nos a todos y todas del jardín
. Me he sentado fatal, vengo hoy de Lyon, hay mucho que ver, mañana voy a la zona del castillo y por qué uno no quiera trabajar hasta las 19h he tenido que perder la oportunidad. Para una vez que vengo a Carcassonne a ver lo que pueda entre ello el Jardín....
